One phone network across two sites and 20 countries
Multipanel UK make composite aluminium sheets, manufactured at their Dover plant and run from their Exeter head office. We brought both sites — and a sales team spread across 20 countries — onto one integrated telephony network.
The challenge
What Multipanel UK needed
Multipanel's head office and production facility sit at opposite ends of the country, so their calls and data had to move easily between the two offices. On top of that, they sell globally through salespeople in 20 different countries, so anything we put in had to work across different time zones and technologies.
Huge year-on-year growth meant the setup also had to scale quickly. Multipanel have created 100 new jobs at their Kent site over five years, and their plans keep growing.
What we did
Our approach
Two sites, one system
We installed high-speed leased lines into both offices and linked the sites together, so staff at each one work as a single business. Sales calls from around the world route straight to the right account manager.
Built for a global sales team
We set up calls to break out over different lines and numbers, and to be recorded for country managers to review. An app on the sales team's mobiles acts as an extension of the main system, so they're reachable wherever they are. Wallboards and reporting let Multipanel track and improve performance across the globe.
The result
Where it left them
Multipanel have worked with Cobalt as their IT partner for 15 years. The way calls are routed has improved productivity and saved them money. A fully inclusive support and maintenance contract covers both their phones and their IT, so they have one point of contact for any issue.
