Two sites and 300 extensions, one phone system
Dame Hannah Rogers Trust supports children and adults with a range of disabilities across two Devon sites, at Ivybridge and Seale-Hayne. We consolidated their separate systems into one, bridging almost 300 extensions.
The challenge
What Dame Hannah Rogers Trust needed
The Trust wanted to consolidate and simplify their communications. With separate telephone systems and lines across two sites, the network was expensive and complex to manage. They also had lots of telephone cable but very little structured cabling, which ruled out IP phones in many places.

What we did
Our approach
Bridging two sites into one
We used their leased lines to provide a new 3CX system, then bridged the two sites together so users across both could be managed from one simple interface. Linked-up systems let users see who's on the phone at the other site.
Reusing what was already there
Our 3CX solution reused their existing copper telephone cables, which avoided the cost of installing network cable throughout the sites. Almost 300 extensions migrated across with everything still operating.
The result
Where it left them
The Trust's Head of ICT described the process as painless from conception to completion — migrating almost 300 extensions in a short window while keeping everything running couldn't have gone more smoothly.
